Thank you for being part of the UNderdogstuff® community and working together at investing in our wellbeing and wealth. Let's explore the journey of entrepreneurship, financial freedom, and finding our way back home.
I'm EXCITED to announce I'll be an Entrepreneurship Mentor & Teacher for Bridges To Wealth's programs in Philly public high schools this semester. I'm looking forward to talking about entrepreneurship and financial literacy with students and adults in the city and school system I grew up in. And I'll bring some UNderdogstuff content to this too. We are continuing the journey of exploring entrepreneurship, financial freedom, and finding our way back home.
Please let me know your favorite tips for talking with high school students about entrepreneurship or financial literacy.
"If you are not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late." Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn
I picked the above quote because I'm definitely in my feelings today and questioning myself about whether to share the evolution of UNderdogstuff. Is it too soon to test a pilot, is this the right pivot, is anyone really feeling the idea, who will want to invest with an early stage Fintech startup, how is it all gonna work, and blah blah blah. It does, at least, feel good to write that and let it out. Well, I'm choosing Reid Hoffman's be "embarrassed" approach and sharing.
Thank you for continuing to send your feedback and share your ideas for the evolution of UNderdogstuff. This Facebook post earlier this summer sparked a new direction for UNderdogstuff. Here's a work in progress idea update:
Introducing UNderdogstuff Capital, the investment community for savers that are ready to become investors. No more thinking that you don't have enough money to get access to the investment deals you want. No more being frustrated that you haven't found partners that would follow through. No more starting and then stopping.
Let's talk about wealth together and put our money together to create it. Some call it crowdfunding. Some call it collective economics. We can call it UNderdogstuff Capital commUNity. Membership for Underdog Investors includes (1) Content + live events related to Financial Literacy and resetting our relationship to money. (2) Access to crowdfunded real estate investment opportunities.
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." -African Proverb. Let's go on this journey together of investing in our wellbeing and our wealth!
